New Building Construction Update

Grace and peace from our Father! Here is a photo of the new building that is under construction. As you can see it is a large building (look on the right side of the picture to see the man standing by a wall of the buildings first floor)! All over the country God's people are being moved to bring providence to the poor and orphaned of Tala, Kenya. And for that we say "praise God!" Funds are still needed to continue construction so more orphans can be brought off the streets and into a loving environment. Please pray on this and if you are lead to help, please go to our website and donate. Or email us and let us know you are praying for this ministry, Kenya and the children of Nice View Academy/Orphanage. "'...My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.' Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me." 2 Corinthians 12:9. How awesome to let God take the wheel and know that He can use all of us in our weakest state to glorify Him and lead others (with "Christ's power") to His kingdom!

Welcome to our blog!

Greetings to all our friends in the name of our friend and Savior, Jesus Christ! We are setting up our blog so when we leave for Kenya (March 3rd) we can keep everyone up-to-date on what is happening in Tala. That is as long as we have Internet capabilities! We are counting down the days before we leave by getting our shots, visas, malaria pills and other essentials - like figuring out how many bibles we can pack to take as extra luggage.

We are also talking to everyone we know to get funds into the ministry. When we received an email from Gideon last Thursday he said that 70 children were literally dropped off at the Academy's doorstep because of the recent political upheaval in Kenya. The Academy is in desperate need to get the new building finished so that these children can be housed. They are making good progress but funds are needed to continue work on it. God will provide and I know that He will move hearts so that those with abundance can help those without. I just read John 11:35 - "Jesus wept." and I know that Jesus is weeping over the conditions in Kenya. It is a comfort for me knowing that our Lord grieves with us, but that He also gives all of us the opportunity to comfort those in need, be that in prayer or with funds.

Thank you for being a part of this ministry and keeping it in your prayers. God is our ultimate provider of all things and through Him and His people the children of Tala will know that He loves them by His provision.
