Fundraising idea

Hello everyone, I hope you are all having a wonderful February! We are busy in the ministry getting the word out there for people - talking to people, sending out information and doing presentations. This blog post will hopefully get the creative juices flowing for possible fundraising events you can have for Saved By God's Grace!

A friend from church decided to celebrate his 40th birthday by having a fundraiser for Saved By God's Grace. He told his friends they could "roast" him if they made a donation to the ministry! It was great fun and we had the opportunity to talk with many people about the kids in Kenya.

If you are interested in helping this ministry in a unique way or even the traditional way (car wash, bake sale etc.) call or email us and we can get you our introduction video (which is on our homepage).

We are relying on God to move people to help but He wants us to TALK to people! Our next trip to Kenya (June or July) is fast approaching and we are in need of funds - if you are moved to help in any way we thank you in advance.

We are also planning our next "presentation tour" in March. Contact us if you'd like us to do a presentation in your home, church, group function etc. during our tour.

Thank you again for your support and please tell others about us and send them to our website.

Valentine Smiles!

Pauline and Gideon visited the kids at Mercy again and brought them more mangoes. Before their visit I asked Pauline to tell the kids how much we miss them and their smiling faces. I also wanted the kids to know that the providence of their mangoes were a gift from God-working through His people. And you can see from their faces how happy they are.

I am so thankful that Pauline is able to send us updates like these.
She also sent the following picture of Anastasia picking spinach from the shamba (garden). It's hard for us to imagine here in the US, but what a blessing those leaves of spinach are.
Please keep this ministry in your prayers and if God is moving you to help in some way please feel free to visit our donation page, call or email us. We were blessed on our recent trip (for presentations around the US) by working with many of God's people. Each of us can make a difference in the life of a child through the power of Christ.

Mangoes all around!

Pauline and Gideon visited Mercy Child Foundation this past weekend and passed out mangoes to the children. They look so excited and it makes me miss them even more seeing their smiling faces!

Pauline also sent me this picture of some students at Nice View washing their clothes. I asked her to tell them that I expect a HUGE hug when I return. I miss them but I know that God's timing is perfect. I trust Him to work out the details of our return to Kenya.

Please pray for this ministry - that God's will be done here on Earth as it is in Heaven, that we accept His will with joy and contentment and others may be moved to support our mission in Kenya.

Thank you for stopping by for updates. Have a glorious day in serving our Father in Heaven!

News from Kenya

We've heard some bad news coming out of Kenya recently. It hasn't affected any of our orphanages though but please keep Kenya in your prayers for the loss that is being felt by many. The first was a Nakumatt fire (Nakumatt has groceries and household items). The other was a petrol fire near Molo. In one story I read Prime Minister Raila Odinga said "Poverty is pushing our people into doing desperate things just to get through one more day".
